I was craving BAOZ and I heard of this ghost kitchen that sells them so here I am. I ordered online and got the Korean chicken bao, fresh ahi bao, saute shrimp bao, banana custard bao, ube bao, matcha bao, and the nutella bao. All of these were delicious. The highlights in my opinion are the Nutella bao and the sauté shrimp bao. No issues regarding service. The service here was decent. My food was ready on time. This ghost kitchen just has a window where you pick up your food. It's kind of hidden. Try it out if you like. :)

Ordered Baoz for pickup on DoorDash and ended up in a warehouse parking lot. Turns out this is a common cloud kitchen for many delivery-only places including Zaatar. I got the Korean fried chicken bao which came in a beetroot bao bun. The sauce was excellent as was the crunch on the chicken. Would definitely order from here again!

BAOZ is a must try. My order wasn't ready in time, so the chef/owner, Zee, gave me a couple complimentary apps. Edamame isn't something I'd typically order, but I really enjoyed it. The bean sprout salad wasn't as good as the edamame, but was worth trying. As for the baos, I tried the braised beef, duck, fresh ahi, Korean chicken, pork belly, and shrimp. The fresh ahi and Korean chicken baos were my favorites, but all 6 either met or exceeded my expectations. The buns appear to be artificially colored, but that's not the case at all. The pink bun is dragonfruit based, the black bun is activated charcoal based, the white bun is ginger based, and the red bun is beet based. I could only eat so much, but there are so many more interesting options on the menu. My only knock on BAOZ is that I wish it was a dine in restaurant. Maybe one day!

I should have left a review many moons ago, but this is one of my favorite places in sf! The food is amazing, beautiful to look out, tastes scrumptious, AND the take out has the cutest markings...I've yet to go to the physical location. It's one of my favorite treats to get for a cuddled night in. The food is warm and flavorful. A few of my favorite sweets are the nutella and the banana cream baos. The chicken bowl is my go to lunch/dinner.

I ordered this through uber eats and they had this promo of buy one get one free. The boxing was so cute and it had these like stickers in which shows which one you got. I ate them so fast to the point where i forgot to take more pictures. Duck Bao - 4.5/5 - i really enjoyed this bao! the plum sauce really brought this bun together and the bun it's self was soft and moist. my only complaint is that the duck filling was mostly skin and a little duck in it so it was more on the fatty side Japanese Bao- 3.5/5 - the filling it's self was really tasty but there's was very little filling and more bao its self. I just wish there was more filling. Korean Fried Chicken Bao- 5/5 - the chicken was so nice and tender and had so much flavor. it didn't make the bao greasy and it was so flavorful to eat Chicken Bowl - 5/5 - the portion size was so big and the chicken was nice and crispy and it was nicely seasoned. The garlic aioli was also a great mix for the bowl! Overall would order again and would like to see the place eventually!

Baoz is part of a ghost kitchen and you have to make your orders online, so I would recommend placing your order in advance. We thought we were able to place an order in person, but were directed to a QR code. Ordering is simple and easy once you realize it's online only. Now that the logistics are out of the way, I was quite pleasantly surprised. The bowls were deep and had a really nice balance of flavors. The eggplant was expertly prepared and the lotus root chips provided nice textural context. The carrot mint sauce also pulled together the bowl quite nicely. The bowl transported nicely and the integrity of the dish wasn't compromised -- which can often be the case with these types of rice bowls. Craving this again and will be returning soon!

Tried this place on Uber eats with their BOGO deal and this was so delicious! The baos were still warm and the dough was soft and fluffy. The Japanese beef curry bao was flavorful and the banana custard bao was sweet and pretty to look at too! The Korean chicken bowls were a generous portion size and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Highly recommend for a delivery/takeout meal!

Great takeout joint doing baos -- 2 per dish. We were very impressed with the Korean Chicken Bao, Ahi Tuna Bao (great flavor, maybe weirder texture), Banana Custard Bao (delicious unexpected banana flavor), and the Ube Bao. The Shrimp Bao was good as well! Note that this is pickup only and there is no seating so you'll have to take your order home or elsewhere to eat. Everything comes boxed cutely and nicely so no worries about spillage!

A great location for Asian food! I got it through Uber Eats; it tasted amazing even though it had been delivered. I got the Duck Bao and it was great. The skin's crispy while the meat just melts in your mouth. The bun is so fluffy and easy to chew through. NO JOKE- might be the best bun I have ever had. This was definitely my FAVORITE out of all of the things I got. Chicken Bao is also a great option- the chicken was so crispy and had such a good balance as well. Also got a Chicken bowl and that also tasted great. It was a good balance of the chicken, ginger, green onions, and crispy fried rice pieces. My only thing is that there was so much rice in comparison to all of the other things in the bowl. I also got the pulled pork bowl which was not my favorite of all of them, but if you like pulled pork, it would be for you! A great place if you are craving Asian food! Honestly, I would go every week if I could.

BAOZ is tucked away in a very unassuming location, but don't be fooled - its humble storefront hides some great baos. To preface, I'm not the biggest fan of pork, but out of the duck, beef, and pork belly baos, the pork belly bao is definitely the star. It's extremely tender and comes with the most flavorful sauce! The other two leave something to be desired. On a separate note, this isn't the best place for groups who want to sit and chat because it's takeout only. Parking is very convenient though.
